I\'m very excited to be playing WICKED at the Fox Theatre the entire month of December, and a couple of days in January.
08.18.14NYC and SIUE
It has been a very long time since I've posted here. The past year has been extremely fun and equally as crazy. I was extremely fortunate to travel to Tokyo with the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra in December. We played at the Blue Note in Tokyo and it was beautiful. Her band is comprised of some of the most amazing, kind people you will ever meet. In March, I started rehearsals and shows on Broadway for the musical Cabaret. It was a great experience and I met so many nice people who I miss. So many good hangs!!! Last week I traveled up to Chicago to hang with my brother and play with the Stone/Bratt Big Band and the Ian Torres Big Band. It was a great couple of days and I came home with so much IKEA furniture. I accepted an Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies job at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and start teaching tomorrow! Truly excited and looking forward to it. Much love and appreciation friends. I hope you are well.
03.18.13Back in NYC
So I have been back in NYC since late August. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Europe playing Grease and Little Shop of Horrors. I can't say enough about the musicians I worked with in Amstetten, wonderful players and wonderful people. If you get a chance, go to Austria! It is B.E.A.UTIFUL!
I am excited to be playing the second gig with Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band at 54 Below. The first time was very fun and I can't wait til the end of the month!!!!
Be excellent to each other!
07.18.12Little Shop of Horrors
Hello again! I am currently in Austria, getting ready for the Little Shop of Horrors premiere! The performances are in Amstetten which is in upper Austria. I haven't traveled too many different countries, but the scenery in Austria is beautiful. I wish Illinois had some more hills!
Until next time, be excellent to each other!
Hello all! Once again it has been a long time since I updated my site. I am currently in Basel, Switzerland getting ready for a sound check for the European Grease Tour. It has been very fun so far. The Swiss Alps are beautiful! I hope to get a closer look on skis some time soon.
I've posted some new shows on my performance schedule. I will add some more once I figure out what all these German words mean....
Ahhhh, I'm finally out of school and in New York City. I've been here a little over a month and it is an amazing place. There are so many fantastic musicians and great people here.
Next week I will have the privilege of going to Europe with the Maria Schneider Orchestra for ten days! I am truly excited and thankful for the opportunity. Stay tuned for more updates!!!
I had the pleasure of playing with Frankie Valli in Rochester last Wednesday. It was extremely fun. I grew up listening to his music when my parents had control of the radio stations. He is 77 years old and still sounds amazing!
In other news, the FBJO Tour starts soon! I'll be posting the performance dates shortly. I hope too see you at one of the shows!
Also, congrats to my good friend Chris Ziemba on his acceptance to Juilliard!
04.20.11Birch Creek 2011!
So excited! I'll be teaching trumpet again during the second jazz session at the Birch Creek Academy in Egg Harbor, WI. I had a wonderful experience last year working with my current teacher Clay Jenkins and giving lessons and masterclasses. It should be another exciting summer!
